2D FOUNDATIONS- ART 110
This course introduces the basic elements of two-dimensional art and the practices of contemporary working artists. Students investigate a variety of 2D image-making techniques and media, while developing a critical awareness of what constitutes a fine arts studio practice. Students learn to identify and employ the basic elements of art such as line, shape, texture, value, space and color through drawing, mixed media, printmaking and painting.
