Flock for The Corridor Project
This 16.5” x 21.5” digital print on Epson Velvet Fine paper was designed for The Corridor Project in 2023 to be displayed as a billboard in Orlando, Florida. It was made by scanning physical relief prints from Flock created by communities across the US between 2015 through 2019, and those printed by a community in Eastern Iceland in August 2022. Your purchase of this print helps support this ongoing collaborative community project.

More about Flock
Flock is a collaborative community art project facilitated by Rachel Simmons that encourages participants to see their daily interactions with neighborhood birds as opportunities for creative expression and connection. It’s comprised of interactions between participants and the artist during birdwatching and printmaking activities, and takes physical form in the shape of nearly 200 hundred relief prints--each cut into a variety of bird silhouettes, inked and printed by communities across the United States and Iceland. The bold patterns and rich colors represent each participant’s creative choices, but together the birds that make up Flock become a collective expression of our relationship with nature and demonstrate the ways in which art making can strengthen communities.
